Their 60 years of success has made them synonymous with creating real fires at the heart of the home.


Brief

Having growing brand awareness in numerous European countries offline Zip wanted to ensure that online exposure reflected this. Having a relatively design lead website making heavy use of flash it was Affinity i-Marketing’s task to improve rankings not only in the UK search engines but France and Belguim also.

The Solution

Zip were keen to keep the original design of the website so Affinity worked with that, introducing text based menus allowing visitors and search engines alternative entry to content. Affinty was also faced with the problem of all of the different countries copy pages sitting on one domain name and without the budget to split this up we are trialling geo tracking to encourage the country specific search engines to index the relevant pages.

All keywords and meta etc on relevant pages have also been translated into both French and Flemish supported by deep linking from relevant country specific websites.
