Wicksteed - New Site Migration - 13/09/2007

We recently successfully completed the migration of Wicksteed's new website. This required a lot of hard work and skill to ensure that none of the existing search engine rankings were affected by this massive migration.

Wicksteed are one of the largest producers of children's play equipment in the UK, if you see a newly built play area popping up near you at the moment it will more than likely be made up of Wicksteed play equipment.

Our sister company Affinity New Media re-designed the website and it has already gained global recognition for being a well designed and fresh website.

NMA (New Media Age) commonly known as the industry Bible named the Wicksteed website as there website of the week.

"When I was a kid, playgrounds were nowhere near as nice as this. This pleasant site showcases the latest in playground furniture, such as modular climbing frames, colourful picnic tables with wheelchair access and talking flowers. It has equipment aimed at everyone from toddlers to young adults, and features abundant images of children having fun on the products.

You can download product pictures and how-to guides on areas like designing a play section, providing a safe playground and funding your project - the last lists ways to generate funding for community projects. You can also read the latest news from Wicksteed. Call to action is always visible, with a phone number and email and call-me-back links fixed in the top right corner. Overall, a fresh site built with the user firmly in mind."

Online Marketing 07 - 12/08/2007

Andy Horne and Melissa Gwynn were lucky enough to attend the Online Marketing 07 event (as VIP's no less) on 26th June. The event was sponsored by NMA and Marketing Week, it is the only UK event to bring together experts and suppliers covering every element of Online Marketing.

SEO to PPC, blogging to podcasting, accessibility to analytics, email, affiliate and mobile marketing, online ads and integration were covered.

The show tackled all the challenges surrounding Online Marketing and offered advice on the latest developments.

Whilst they were there they will also attended Google university to pick up all the latest hints and tips from the horse’s mouth and of course put the complimentary Champaign to good use!

affinity i-marketing invited to Yahoo HQ - 01/07/2007

June was a a busy month in terms of outings. Rory and Melissa were invited down to the headquarters of Yahoo Search to meet the team and also learn about the very important Panama upgrade that is about to take place and keep the team very busy in the next few weeks.

They enjoyed a very nice brekkie and then had time to sample the delights of the Yahoo staff canteen that included table football, ping pong and a pool table all now requests for our Norwich office!

Affinity acquires Attention Grabbers - 1/06/07

Affinity i-marketing, the specialist internet marketing agency with offices in Norwich, Nottingham and London, have completed the business purchase of Attention Grabbers who specialise in Search Engine Optimisation and organic search engine analytics for clients.
